Tandy (1984 - ?)

The Tandy machines were Tandy's first foray into the PC clone market. The first model was the Tandy 1000 (released in 1984) which had more advanced graphics than normal PC clones at the time (16 colors versus 4 of the then current CGA mode). It might also have had a built-in sound chip.

The Tandy 2000 (also released in 1984) and was meant as a business computer. It was based on the 80186 processor and was probably the least compatible PC clone made by Tandy. It had pretty good graphics, up to 640x400x16. Unfortunately, most normal PC software failed to run and had to be ported separately and it used a customized version of MS-DOS.

There are more versions of Tandy computers like the 1200, 3000, and 4000 models.

There are 15 games listed for Tandy in this list.

Adventureland was created by Hans Persson and is now maintained by Stefan Meier.
